In support of Malaysian citizens that had been affected by Covid-19 pandemic and flood incident that happened
in the east coast, HOERBIGER-KT Malaysia Sdn. Bhd had donated a total amount of RM106,000 to Yayasan Food
Bank Malaysia to aid the flood victims in Terengganu.
HOERBIGER took the initiative as they had seen the areas around their branch neighbourhood are heavily
affected by the flood. Thus, YFBM was being selected to receive the donation is a mock-up cheque giving
ceremony which will be held on December 14th.
The donation will be use to provide food and basic necessities which will be distributed to 1000 affected families
in Kemaman, Marang and Terengganu.
The ceremony which held in Dewan Sivik Ayer Puteh will be officiated by YB Haji Hanafiah Mat, Terengganu
Welfare, Women and Family Development and National Unity Committee chairman witnessed by HOERBIGERKT Malaysia Sdn. Bhd Managing Director, Lau Chiow Lim and Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia CEO, Hj Ab Wahab Bin
Long.
Besides monetary donation, YFBM also accepts donation in form of dry and wet food as well as edible food
surplus which will be donated to Malaysia citizens especially B40 communities.
To date, 622,726 households have received donation and nearly 80,000 university students from 195 selected
universities receive aid from Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia.
